Grilled marinated chicken breasts were served with rice, steamed broccoli and
Cranberry chutney.
Veg barley soup not made with fresh vegetables.
Honey Mustard chicken was seasoned honey mustard sauce and served with homemade mashed potatoes.
Brother enjoyed french onion soup and home fries with grilled onions.

Josh I.New London, CT357527Apr 19, 2024Updated reviewAs far as diner food goes, this meets the mark. Standard fare and standard quality, we were satisfied with everything. We had the eggs benedict, grandma's french toast, and home fries.
If anything sets this place apart it's their cleanliness and the friendliness of every single one of their staff. The bathrooms were very modern and perfectly spotless, and included changing tables for babies.
We came once before and were disappointed, but this visit left us with nothing to complain about. Will come back if we travel this route again!

Loved her, wish I remembered her name so I could give her credit! Unfortunately, the food didn't match what I expected based on the other reviews and the cheery vibes of the restaurant.
Everything we got was shockingly greasy, my wife's French dip sandwich was bland, and my goat cheese burger was also bland. The burger patty itself was nearly tasteless, and there was not enough goat cheese on it to make up for that.
I had such high expectations, and I'd go back if I were in the area again in the hopes that our disappointing meal was just a fluke. The atmosphere was light and energizing, and all the staff was polite and fun. I just can't leave a review for more than two stars when the food was this disappointing - ultimately, we do go for the food, the atmosphere is of secondary importance.- Nov 1, 2023
Great service today.
Came for breakfast.
I ordered the Pumpkin pancakes special.
It was absolutely delicious.
It didn't need the white cream cheese drizzle at all.
Absolute heaven without it!
Coffee was yummy. My friend had the scrambled eggs and sausage and hotcakes .

Miche, it's wonderful to learn that you had an enjoyable meal at our restaurant, The HomeTown Breakfast, Bar & Grill! We're pleased that our Pumpkin pancakes special struck a chord with your taste palette and you even relished our coffee. Your friend's meal of scrambled eggs, sausage, and hotcakes seems to have been a delightful experience too. We'll definitely take your recommendation about the cream cheese drizzle into consideration. It's great to know you appreciated our Thanksgiving decorations too! My go to spot when I'm craving a honey & yummy breakfast! It gets crowded on the weekend, but they do an amazing job managing. The staff are great as well as the service. Tried the mozzarella square for the first time and it definitely packs some major cheese and crunch! The home fries surprise is my go to. So so good! Cheese, egg and some potato goodness. Carb overload, but worth it! I will be back!

Casual and homey atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Even when they are busy, the wait is about 10-20 minutes. It is way better than others! 
193201278May 20, 2023Service was great! Food not so great because when I got home I was sick as a dog. No joke and this never happens to me. The omelet that I ordered felt like there were pieces of egg shell in it and the cheddar cheese looked like fake cheese and tasted like it too.

This is a solid breakfast spot! I had the southwest casserole, and my boyfriend had pop pops breakfast platter. The casserole was awesome- it had cheese, sliced sausage, onions, and home fries with eggs on top (no peppers at my request). Gooey and delicious, with toast on the side. My boyfriend enjoyed his platter, but was a bit disappointed in the home fries. They were a little underdone. Instead of the plain pancakes, he got the seasonal pumpkin and really enjoyed those.
Price is definitely right for the food, but 3 bucks a cup for drip coffee was a bit much.
Also, side note we sat at the bar and had excellent service. He was kind, helpful, and gave excellent recommendations!
We'll definitely stop again in the future.

Our first visit was OUTSTANDING!!! The wings were large, crisp, and moist. Combined with the sauce, ... "Delicious."
We also had the "Chicken, Apple, and Brie Ciabatta" sandwich (5-Star). A well thought out and executed sandwich. Great job! "If you're hungry and want a great sandwich, you won't be disappointed with this one."
The establishment is very clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, and the service was on-point. What more could you ask for?

Listen, this French onion soup is bangin'. It was so good. You can even ask for extra cheese. The regular has so much cheese that you don't need to ask for extra cheese. My friend asked for extra cheese. There is something a little extra in there that added some flavor that I didn't recognize. It's something I haven't tasted before in a French onion soup.
I ended up ordering the Turkey club. It was awesome. I got it on sourdough. The fries were so crispy. You've read enough of my reviews to know how I like my fries. All in all it was pretty much food. The soup before the meal was not necessary.
These were very good prices. I mean we spent $75 but my dad got steak & potatoes and my friend got multiple $14 mimosas. So you can understand how we got a little wild.
Everyone else was very pleased with their meals.
Wait staff was excellent. My father can be a handful. I want to take this time to tell the wait staff of the world I appreciate what you do everyday. I know this must be a hard job especially when you get troublesome customers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

So my mother and step father were excited to take us here. The area they live has slim pickins' if you ask me. Applebee's, outbacks, and Olive Gardens. Not much that isn't a chain. So it was a a sigh of relief when they chose something I'd never heard of!
We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. By far some of the best I've had. Then I got the backyard BBQ platter. The ribs just fell off the bone and contained no fat. My wife got a salad and it was huge. Every one ended up taking things home. Except fat lil' ol' me.
I don't know what my Step father got but it was chicken with a sea of melted cheese and bacon on top of it. It looked amazingly unhealthy. If I were 23 I would've ordered it.
Unfortunately my cheesesteakin' days are mostly over.
The staff were super friendly and ever present. Anything needed was delivered in a minute or less. The owner I presume went around and made sure everyone was very happy with the food and service.
And we were!
So if you're in town or a local looking for a new hotspot, TRY IT
