This presentation will include a brief overview of two cases that have recently made news headlines (303 Creative and the Yeshiva Pride Alliance case), which will be used to explain the importance of state law for religious liberty, especially religious liberty for faith-based nonprofit organizations. Frank and Buddy will then analyze some of the important laws that affect religious organizations (religious freedom restoration acts, employment nondiscrimination laws, charitable solicitation registration laws, and tax exemptions for faith-based nonprofits).
