Zach Ironside, a senior at Parkland High School, is serving as a Student Representative for the 2023-2024 academic year! He is involved in various extracurricular activities such as Leo Club, UNICEF Club, and volunteering opportunities. Zach is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society, while also serving as co-captain of the Boys’ Soccer Team. Zach has enjoyed learning about career opportunities that are available after graduation, and sharing these opportunities with his school community! Kaitlin Solt, a senior at Northwestern Lehigh High School, is a Student Representative for the 2023-2024 academic year. She holds leadership positions in the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and Aevidum, which advocates for mental health awareness. Kaitlin is also a Senior Yearbook Editor, a member of the Maker Club and the Foreign Language and International Cultures Club, and takes part in her Church youth group. She has also held summer employment through Northwestern Lehigh SD. Kaitlin enjoyed making new friends, discovering various career paths, and learning how to upgrade her resume during her experience as a Student Rep! Yesterday, the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley and PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley hosted the first-ever Lehigh Valley High School Seniors Only Job Fair at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks This job fair was specially organized for graduating seniors where they were able to explore full-time and part-time job opportunities, summer jobs, and on-the-job training. The main goal of this job fair was to encourage graduating seniors to stay, live, and work in the Lehigh Valley and contribute to the future workforce. More than 50 businesses and 14 high schools attended to make this event a success for the Lehigh Valley!

As a junior at Northern Lehigh High School, Matt McCarty is serving as a Student Representative for the 2023-2024 academic year! He is an active member of his school community serving as the Class of 2025 Vice President and President of the Weightlifting Club. Tamya Williams, a 12th-grade student at Northampton High School, is serving as a Student Representative for the 2023-2024 academic year! She is an active participant in many school activities such as the Sound and Technician Club, Drama Club, Homework Club, and Chess Club. Tamya’s favorite part of her experience has been exploring the different job opportunities, which led her to secure a job at a hotel after being inspired by a meeting at Delta Hotels.
