MKBC will be closed on Saturday, June 29th for required computer upgrades, but the demand for whole blood and platelets is a challenge that we face every day, especially during the summer. Please note we will be open on Sunday, June 30th from 10:00am – 5:00pm at our Bethlehem, Cedar Crest, Reading, Easton, and Ewing, NJ donor centers. To help boost our supply, MKBC will be providing some extra “thank yous” to donors for helping us fill our shelves to improve an already existing blood shortage When you donate platelets between June 23-July 7, you will receive an exclusive, special edition platelet t-shirt!👕 When you donate whole blood between June 17 – July 7, you can use our website to enter to win your choice of a $500 Airbnb gift card or a $500 grocery store gift card!.🙌 And after you donate, you can cool off with a yummy treat!🍦 We will be providing vouchers for Rita’s at each of our donor centers on select days/times. Miller-Keystone Blood Center accepted a check for important staff training aids from the Carbon County Community Foundation during their annual Grant Awards Celebration!🙌 During the event, the CCCF awarded nearly $85,000 in grants and scholarships to Carbon County non-profits, community organizations, schools, teachers, and students.👏 We are very thankful to be one of the many organizations to receive a grant and we are grateful to have the support from the CCCF!

Safety has always been our top priority at Miller-Keystone Blood Center. That’s why we’re proud to be participating in National Safety Month this year with our Safety Sponsor, Air Products.🙌 This week is focused on safety engagement. We want to take the time to congratulate all our graduating seniors!🙌🎓 Thank you for your hard work and dedication to maintaining a safe and stable blood supply for our local hospitals. This year, 228 seniors received a Red Cord to proudly wear at their graduation in recognition of their lifesaving blood donations and commitment to making a difference in their community!👏 Our High School Hero program is designed to promote and encourage today’s high school students to be tomorrow’s lifesavers and become lifelong blood donors.  We wish them the best of luck as they start this next chapter of their lives and we hope you continue to advocate the importance of blood donations!

Urgent Need!🚨 Miller-Keystone Blood Center needs your help replenishing the community’s blood supply. Blood donations tend to decrease during the summer months and our supply is currently running low. Patients in our local hospitals are depending on you to donate blood. We are asking anyone who is able, to donate blood as soon as possible.
